Newton is populated by hundreds of amazing examples of early American Architecture. Our client purchased this home, which required a total renovation/restoration. It also was complicated by huge grade changes that proved challenging in the design of a new addition for a below grade 2-car garage, mudroom and rear addition that provided the space to expand all four floor of the home. Redesigning the structural system of the house to meet the requirements of a more contemporary spacial layout as well as the engineering of massive retaining walls has provided a transformation that gave this home a new life.
