Designing new homes, restoring and renovating classic homes
Hand illustrations, CAD drawing and 3D presentation are all part of the mediums that we use to communicate our design ideas to our clients. PDF’s can keep up with even the busiest client. We are committed to frequent meetings and email discussion in order to remain in close contact with our clients.
We follow our projects from beginning to end during the construction process to ensure adherence to site conditions, zoning requirements, building codes and engineering / architectural compliance to the permit drawings. I have worked together with the same structural engineer for 20 years and partner with him to customize the design all of the structural components.
My thoughts about the design of any space include furniture layout. I often rely on working in unison with interior designers and consider it an opportunity to enhance the character of a home. I have worked with several interior designers and landscape architects who I enjoying referring to my clients. We emphasize a team approach when referring builders and designers that proves to be a recipe for success.
We work to design sustainable architecture that seeks to minimize the negative environmental impact of building. This is achieved by using renewable energy generation, sustainable or recycled materials and where possible either passive solar or solar voltaic and solar panels. We do our best to model LEED principles of design and building and material sustainability.
