My clients unfortunately lost their 1930’s Royal Barry Wills home to fire and requested that we design a “new old” house. We focused on dormering the roof in a similar 30’s way but with 8’-6” ceiling heights and an open plan. Large light wells were designed into the basement foundation walls in order to bring in natural light and make the basement feel like it wasn’t just an ordinary basement.
