This unique 1860’s Victorian cottage has a compact floor plan which our client wanted to added a first floor master bedroom, master bathroom, dressing closet, first floor office and kitchen alteration. Having worked on this house 10 years earlier, I was familiar with the challenges. Above the master bedroom, we designed a summer dining porch and deck that takes advantage of the western sunsets. Solving the challenge of disguising the addition for privacy on the first floor and balancing the changes to the front façade was my client’s objective.
